THE Day: Bypass Successful!

Hello!  

There's great news this evening!  Claudia underwent a successful bypass this afternoon at Banner Heart Hospital.  She entered into surgery at approximately 2:15 p.m. and at 4:30 p.m., Dr. Iva Smolens, Claudia's cardiothoracic surgeon came out and said it was "picture perfect" and that Claudia did fantastic during the surgery.  She said they "listened" to the blood flow in the bypass artery and that it sounded fantastic.  

Claudia is expected to wake up around 7:30 p.m. tonight.  She will remain in ICU for the next several days.  Dr. Smolens said visitors are not encouraged as these next days are critical in the recovery process.  

To all of you, thank you for your love and support.  You ALL are  appreciated in more ways than you'll ever know.  I know right now Claudia sends her love and thanks to each of you!
